Holistic Fitness Plans
Many people find sticking to an exercise routine difficult. They start out with good intentions but end up losing momentum. Fitness plans are not one-size-fits-all. If you don't have a personalized fitness plan that takes into account the whole person you may find that you: 1) don't have enough time to do the chosen exercise routine, 2) don't see the results you want and get discouraged, 3) overstress your body resulting in injuries or soreness that prevents you from continuing, or 4) hate the exercise routine you are doing and avoid doing it. In order to create your Holistic Fitness Plan we perform the following tests: physical fitness assessment, resting metabolism rate test, body type analysis, personality assessment, lifestyle appraisal, and a goal evaluation. By identifying your distinctive characteristics and needs, you will be able to achieve your fitness goals in the most enjoyable and effective way possible. Based upon the results of your testing and interview you will be provided with a fitness plan as unique as you are.
Lots of people can benefit from working with a nutritionist, for many different reasons–whether you need a complete diet overhaul, are looking to manage a medical condition, want to fine-tune your food choices, or get inspiration for new, healthy recipes. It’s best to book a nutrition consultation after a check-up with your primary care provider. That can help inform whether you have any specific conditions that can be addressed with nutrition, such as elevated blood sugar or cholesterol, or blood pressure issues.
While some patients come in for a nutrition consultation to learn more about how their food choices affect their health, others end up in my office at their doctor’s suggestion. The following are just a few of the conditions that can benefit specifically from dietary interventions: heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, allergies, diabetes and pre-diabetic conditions, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), celiac disease, obesity, and pregnancy.
